June 3, 2008 ~ Admiring
Last week as I was waiting to have bloodwork drawn, I saw a brochure stand filled with copies of the following, and I was drawn to read it. It is profound and beautiful, and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.
Admiring
by Duke Rohe
Admiring is the attribute of increase. It takes a quality you esteem highly in another, then praises it. It proclaims that what another has is of great value, regardless of size. Admiring can only spring out of a sincere heart. It is the gracious act that elevates the excellence, respect and regard in another. Admiring is a compliment that benefits both the recipient and the receiver. Its declaration is validation to the soul.
Admiring says a lot about you. It means you humbly desire something more or better in you, and you are willing to look and learn and adapt it from those around you. Admiring acknowledges the qualities you value in another. It could be an uncompromising integrity that would never take a lesser path. It may be a mother’s self-sacrifice to protect her children. It might be a calm endurance in the midst of great storm. Admiring is firing up that sense of joy that life has given you to give to another. It grows out of the abundance within.
Admiring is never jealous. For admiring is other-oriented; jealously is me-oriented. It stands in awe of another’s ability which is difficult for you. It searches for what’s in another to praise. It observes their accomplishment, then mutually delights in its fulfillment. Admiring is a mindset of constantly seeking good.
Admiring has a little brother called encouragement. It can even see qualities in others they don’t yet see in themselves. It cheers them along to achieve more. Unspoken admiration is like fresh fruit: if not shared in due time, it spoils. It loses is opportunity to benefit both giver and receiver. Declaration of admiration always increases its owner.
Admiring is an attribute from heaven. It is the essence of the creator’s heart toward us. It is truly unconditional in its offering.

I almost accidentally went to this site, but stayed there for a long time. Delayed, because everything is very interesting. Be sure to tell you about all my friends.
Fully agree with you, about a week ago wrote about the same in his blog!
